On Site Massage

Massage with a difference for individuals, small and large businesses alike.

On-site (Seated Acupressure) Massage is performed on a portable, ergonomically designed chair. No oils are used and most importantly, no clothes are removed. The chair relaxes and supports the client fully, thus allowing the practitioner to focus on the tense aching muscles of the back, neck, head, shoulders, arms and hands, using massage techniques and stress relieving acupressure points.

The On-site Massage (OSM) sequence is based on a traditional form of Japanese massage called “Anma” which was first introduced to Japan approximately 1500 years ago from China, where records of it’s existence go back some 3000 years BC. Anma is Japanese and literally means “press and rub”. The sequence works to improve the flow of energy (i.e.Chi/Ki) throughout the body and acts additionally on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems.

Surprisingly, many people never experience the benefits of massage, either through reasons of embarrassment or self-consciousness. OSM addresses all of these issues and more, in one fell swoop it presents massage to the client on their terms.

OSM has many benefits not only for the individual but also for the company as well. For example, for the individual, it can help towards reducing aches and pains; in particular the neck and shoulders, overcome fatigue and help towards reducing blood pressure. For the company, it is affordable, it encourages healthier employees, OSM can help increase concentration and productivity, it can be used as a job perk or as a special promotion and it can help towards reducing absenteeism by increasing staff morale.

With £79billion a year lost to industry and 6 million working days lost from the shop floor to the board-room through stress related illness, many companies are using OSM as part of their staff well-being programme or on its own as a method of combating stress and work related aches and pains. Unlike other forms of massage, in as little as 10 minutes, it leaves the client feeling relaxed, but alert.

OSM is a revitalising and tonifying treatment and is suitable for most people. It is not a diagnostic treatment but more of a “tune-up”, with some people reporting a lessening or disappearance of symptoms.

On-Site Massage is not only an investment in staff well being, but also an investment in customer care.
