When I was young I was always one for dealing with everything myself and not needing anybody to give me a helping hand, till one day I became ill and had to admit that maybe I wasn’t equipped to deal with everything myself after all and started looking what help and support would suit me and my needs. My relationship was over, I had to leave my job through ill health and basically had hit rock bottom. I was then, in 1984, quite sceptical about alternative therapies.
My friend suggested I saw this hypnotherapist who was also a Reiki master. I made an appointment, drove over an hour to get there and the six appointments proved very beneficial for me and my health. So much so that I enrolled in a Reiki I Course to be able to give myself Reiki and keep improving my outlook on life and my health.
I became more and more interested in different therapies and techniques which I could use to improve my life and deal better with all the stresses and strains life throws at me. I qualified in Sports Massage, Reiki II, NLP, Assertiveness, Stress Management, Relaxation Therapy, Brief Solution Focused therapy, Hypnotherapy, Reiki Master and EFT 1.
Working with all kinds of different people provides me with a lot of variety as no two people are the same, even when presenting with a similar problem, and all require a different therapy approach.
I co-facilitate courses e.g. “improving your self-esteem and confidence” and “coping with stress”. I also give workshops e.g. “achieving your goals”, “relaxation techiques” and “the benefits of using positive language.
