Barbara Buda

With a life-long interest in how people grow and develop, Barbara trained in Personal Life Coaching in 2008. In becoming a life coach, Barbara saw this as an organic extension to the range of skills and experience gained in social work where, for 15 years, she worked as a manager, supervisor and team leader.  In a voluntary capacity, she has also worked with people recovering from addictions, and with their relatives and friends.

With personal experience of disability – and how to use one’s circumstances creatively and effectively – she has worked with voluntary organisations, developing and pioneering self-management courses for young adults facing challenges emerging from life-long, physical conditions.  She has also worked with carers and support staff.

Barbara’s personal interests underpin and shape her life coaching style.  As an Arts graduate with the Open University, she regularly draws upon her passion for poetry, art, writing, and music.

An artist herself, Barbara has organized and collaborated in presenting several successful art exhibitions.  She is also an occasional book reviewer and is currently at work on her own first full-length book, a memoir of growth and gratitude.

Meaning of life questions and a thirst for spiritual development are also areas where Barbara has expertise and personal interest.

She leads retreats and quiet days as well as guiding people who wish to focus more specifically on their own personal, spiritual journeys.

As a Life Coach, Barbara is equally at ease seeing clients face-to-face or working with them by phone
